A 69-acre, 200MW campus planned for 218 Industrial Park Road in Cartersville. First phase operations are anticipated to launch around 2032.

TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION

The developer, DataBank, has filed a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) application and a rezoning request to change the 69-acre site from Heavy Industrial to Technology District.

Because the project is still early in the planning pipeline, citizens have several actionable opportunities to influence the development.

Attend Public Hearings:
The rezoning request is tentatively scheduled to go before the Cartersville Planning Commission on August 11, 2026. You can attend this public meeting to voice support or raise concerns.

An 877-acre campus situated on Taff Road near Stilesboro (south of Highway 113) adjacent to Georgia Power's Plant Bowen. At full build-out, this 8.6 million-square-foot facility is one of the largest planned data centers in the state.

 Project Bunkhouse, an 877-acre, 12-building data center campus proposed near Stilesboro, was officially approved for rezoning by Bartow County in June 2025.

The massive $19 BILLION DOLLAR campus is currently in its long-term pre-construction and phased development phase, with the complete build-out targeted for 2035.

Because the project's zoning and land-use changes are already approved, the window for blocking the development has largely passed.

HOWEVER, citizens can still take actionable steps regarding the project's ongoing execution by:

Speak with local officials regarding traffic management, power grid strain, and noise regulations associated with the development.

Concept and site plans submitted to the Bartow Planning Commission detail an extensive layout that requires three on-site substations and heavy land grading to accommodate the massive footprint.

The proposed sites MAY be blasting. THAT action will likely disturb the Etowah Indian Mounds the closer the blasting has to occur. Other sites have moved earth this way so it can only be assumed for this one.
